Then technology has become improved very fast, until laptops are invented and developed to be even more powerful than desktops. Some laptops have even more powerful processors and bigger RAMs than a standard desktop.

This is because all of laptops are featured with wireless option so you just need to set it up, and you will be able to be online wherever there is a wifi spot.

There is actually no real disadvantage of using laptop vs desktop. However, most laptops are built not as powerful as desktops, because of the limitation of size.

Having a device which has a short battery life wouldn’t be fun, because when you bring it to the class or an important meeting you won’t want to be interupted because of the battery needs to be charged.

With desktops, you can have almost everything that you need from a good categorized computer, such as ports, headphone and microphone jacks, SD card slot, external keyboard and mouse, everything is usually included in a desktop.

If you purchase a desktop, you will also need to purchase a seperate monitor to display your system.

In a laptop, the only thing that is usually included in the package when you purchase, is the power adapter. You will need to purchase additional external mouse or keyboards.

Especially for heavy gamers, there are even powerful keyboard and mouses which are built specifically to play games intensively.

The rest, like USB ports, SD card slot, and others are usually also already featured in a laptop.

In fact, discussion about desktops vs laptops are relatively unimportant, because it really depends on what you really need to do with them. Then again, most computer users nowadays have desktops and laptops.

They use their home desktops with their family, or office desktop to do their work, but they have laptops to do their work in a portable device.

In the old days, people buy laptops or desktops to replace one another, this however, doesn’t happen in this modern era. Desktops vs Laptops? You know you will need them both, sooner or later.
